A soft sunset illuminates this classic Santorini architecture. Santorini, also known as Thira, is a stunning Greek island located in the southern Aegean Sea. It is renowned for its unique geological features, situated on the rim of a volcanic caldera. The formation of Santorini's caldera is a result of intense volcanic activity that occurred thousands of years ago.

The caldera itself is a large, crescent-shaped depression, formed by the collapse of a volcano following a cataclysmic eruption. The eruption is believed to have taken place around 3,600 years ago and is considered one of the most powerful volcanic events in recorded history.
